Stop patching. Start over, properly.
Some roofs reach a point where every repair is just buying time: a sagging lean-to, a chronically leaking dormer flat roof, an old felt garage roof that's been patched a dozen times. Converting the whole structure to a modern flat roof system is often cheaper than the next five years of call-outs — and it ends the worry every time the forecast turns.
A conversion from us means stripping back to sound structure, building in proper falls, insulating to a warm-roof standard, boarding and covering with a system that suits the building — usually EPDM on domestic jobs. Most domestic conversions take two to five days.
We've converted everything from lean-to porches in Streetly to large garage blocks in Great Barr. Where a conversion isn't the right answer — sometimes a pitched re-roof is — we'll tell you that instead.
A converted outbuilding roof — weather-tight, low-maintenance and done with upkeep in mind.
Common questions
Stripping the old covering, checking and repairing the structure, building in falls with timber firrings, insulating above the deck (a warm roof), then boarding and covering with a modern system. You end up with a roof that drains, insulates and lasts.
Most domestic conversions take between two and five days depending on size and how much structural work the survey finds. We give you a realistic programme with the quote and keep you posted daily.
Our warm-roof build-ups are specified to current thermal standards. Where a project needs Building Control involvement we'll tell you upfront and can help with what's required.
Stripping a roof is unavoidably a bit noisy and dusty — but only one area is open at a time, everything is sheeted, the skip is sited where we agree, and we tidy the site at the end of every day.
